Kaboom Industry Days have firmly established themselves in the Netherlands as a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, inspiration and development of (inter)national animation professionals and students. During Young Talent Day, nearly and recently graduated Dutch creators are introduced to the industry, informed about their career opportunities and introduced to professionals through the showreel competition and the Debutantes Ball.

On Professionals Day, the industry comes together to share successes, identify areas of concern and explore future paths. Festival themes and focus programmes provide opportunities to connect international guests with Dutch professionals.

The Kaboom Industry Days are exclusively physically accessible offline because most value comes from physical meetings. Emilia Mazik (former director of Short Waves Festival in Poznan, programmer for Film Festival Ghent, Glasgow Short, much sought-after jury member and speaker) has committed to Kaboom as Head of Industry for several years. Our ambition is to increase the value of the Kaboom Industry Days for the Dutch animation industry in the coming years.

In 2025, the Kaboom Industry Days will take place on 25 and 26 March at the HKU in Utrecht, location Oudenoord. The programme will be published online in February and tickets will be available from March 2025.
