Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba! WAKE UP! Nope, there’s no lion to be baptised by a wise mandrill. However, now that we have your attention, there’s another thingy… WE CALL UPON YOU! Because the Call for Entries for Kaboom Animation Festival 2024 is now officially open.

So dear animaniacs, answer our prayers, submit your animation film, VR project or game, and take your shot at competing in the most bonkers animation film festival in this quadrant of the galaxy. And who knows, we just might baptise you as the conqueror of Kaboom (should we find a mandrill for this??).

The 2024 edition will take place early April (2024, duh). Screenings will take place both physically (in Utrecht and Amsterdam) and online. All screenings of online content will be geoblocked to the Netherlands only.

After submitting your film, VR project or game, our selection committee (accompanied by litres of coffee) will watch and consider. By 15 December 2023, we’ll inform you about a selection and programming.

In case your entry is selected, you will receive further information about the master copy, festival accreditation and everything else.
