BAFTA Qualifying festival

💥📣With a lot of excitement we announce that Kaboom is now an BAFTA  Qualifying Festival.

 

Statement by Aneta Ozorek, Artistic Director of the festival:

“Dear animation people. I am absolutely thrilled to share that Kaboom Animation Festival has been officially recognized as a BAFTA Qualifying festival. This recognition is a testament to the creativity, passion, and diversity that define Kaboom and its community.

From our inception, Kaboom has been dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what animation can be, embracing bold and innovative storytelling from all corners of the globe. To see our festival, which started with a dream of celebrating animation in all its forms, now recognized on such a prestigious level is just incredible.

I want to use this moment to extend my deepest gratitude to all amazing people who have been part of Kaboom’s journey—from the filmmakers who trusted us with their stories to the audiences who have supported us year after year. Special thanks go to the most supportive board members, fantastic team and volunteers who have worked tirelessly to create a festival that showcases exceptional animation. I think this achievement is not only a recognition of our past but a meaningful step toward the colourful future of Kaboom Animation Festival.
